As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support chefs and kitchen teams in maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic environment. You'll play a key role in preparing for service, ensuring food areas and equipment are ready for use, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as instructed by chefs
- Keep kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitised
- Receive and store deliveries safely and correctly
- Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Maintain stock rotation and label food correctly
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety protocols
- Work efficiently during busy service times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar Kitchen Assistant or Back of House role is desirable
- UK hospitality experience is highly preferred
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Right to work in the UK
