Maintenance and repair of production and facility equipment.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Basic troubleshooting and repair production machinery.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during off hours.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Performs plumbing, welding, construction, and electrical projects.
- Assist in other areas of the shop as required.
- Abide by all shop guidelines.
- Maintaining, inspection, repairing all production machinery, equipment, vehicles, tools, and tooling.
- Utilization of MPulse software to document work done, and inventory used on repairs.
- Utilization of MPulse software to procure repair parts and supplies.
- Perform scheduled PM on a regular basis based on MPulse scheduling.
- Performs periodic grounds and facility maintenance as required.
- Responsible for the janitorial and lawn services as needed.
- Responsible for snow removal using plow trucks and/or skid loader. Can be called in off hours.
- Responsible for salting parking lots and outside production areas when needed.
- Participates in and completes recommendations from the safety committee.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:
- Strong mechanical background in an industrial setting which includes pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Must have basic electrical knowledge and willingness to learn single and three phase power including 480 volts.
- Able to use and electrical meter.
- Know, understand, and use lockout tagout.
- Take any in-house or outside training as required.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Able to use precision measuring instruments such as a caliper or micrometer.
- Strong mechanical inclination.
- Good fabrication skills such as welding, drilling, and basic machine work.
- Be a self-starter that can work without supervision.
- Must meet all quality and quantity standards of the job.
- Must know and comply with all safety procedures dealing with the equipment, department, shop wide and personal safety. Be a champion of safety.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and willing to pick up parts and material.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing, bending, walking, and working with hands.
- Generally, works at ground level, but requires periodic working at up to thirty-five feet on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
- Constant lifting of many different parts, tools, and assemblies.
- Some work requires crawling or shimmying beneath or within equipment and vehicles.
- Requires good mechanical hand coordination.
