- Major Areas of Responsibility
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance PM’s that are the operator’s responsibility
- Complete all production and quality documentation
- Maintain leak rate within skill level
- Maintain acceptable weld appearance
- Maintain acceptable production rate within the skill level
- Make quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and productions expectations

- Able to understand and follow all MAP’s, PAP’s, CRN, B31.5, ASME, TMI’s, TPI’s, and SOP’s that pertain to the product
- Able to complete all documents pertaining to the process
- Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
- Basic shop math (i. e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
- Read a tape measure to within 1/16”
- A general understanding of common hand tools is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to read and understand all engineering prints related to the process
• Must achieve the following performance milestones
- Must have successfully performed all requirements of an Evaporator Welder Level 2
- Must have completed all requirements of the Level 3 evaporator weld training including proficiency on a minimum of 3 coils by achieving a leak rate of ≤ 4% and efficiency ≥ 60%
- Within 6 months, must achieve a leak rate of ≤ 4% and efficiency ≥ 80%
- Within 12 months, must achieve a leak rate of ≤ 3% and efficiency ≥ 95%
- Able to determine good weld quality during the welding process and make correction as needed
- Assist in other areas of the shop when needed
- Maintain the required welder certification within the skill level
- Mentor lessor experienced welders
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment
- Continuous standing, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
- Lifting of 50 lbs or less
- Wear PPE when required – Manufacturing Areas
- Shift work, days or evenings, Monday through Friday, and some Saturday’s and Sunday’s
