Commercial Team Coordinator

An exciting opportunity for Commercial Team Coordinator has become available at our Head Office. The Commercial Team Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance/ accuracy of product and supplier data, and a key contact for branch/sales colleagues on day-to-day issues and the purchase ledger team on supplier invoice queries. This role will involve management of supplier price changes, reviewing notifications on the Fortis portal and assisting the Category Managers on updating selling prices.

Key Tasks

• Maintenance of internal Buying Drive, ensuring all relevant correspondence and information is updated with current versions.
• Management of Supplier Price Change data sheet through daily review of Fortis notifications and correspondence sent directly EH Smith category/purchase ledger teams.
• Support Category Managers with selling price updates at company/regional level.
• Assist branch/sales colleagues with day-to-day queries on product data, pricing and stock.
• Support Category Managers with completion of new supplier application forms and set up of accounts following authorisation.
• Review and implement new product proposal requests in a timely manner.
• Support Category Managers and purchase ledger team with managing/reducing supplier invoice queries (chilies).
• Provide support/absence cover for the Catalogue Manager. Tasks include buying price updates, buying/discount groups, customer terms/campaigns, product catalogue maintenance etc.
• Work closely with the other members of commercial and compliance team to ensure processes and standards are in place to meet daily working practices.
• Organising/supporting Commercial team and Supplier meetings including agendas, minutes and tracking any project deadlines.
• Support commercial team with project work and producing/ analysing reports.

Person & Skills

Successful candidates should be experienced in managing databases (Kerridge/Excel preferred) with a keen attention to detail. Having good verbal and written communication skills and working knowledge of building products or a similar high volume distribution business would be helpful. Successful candidates should also have an ability to problem-solve, multi-task, build relationships and drive customer service.
