The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.

Role Purpose

To be responsible for maintaining the high standards of the department through the organisation and the smooth day to day running of all conferences and events.

To maximise sales, control all costs and develop all team members in order to achieve departmental objectives.

  • Main areas of responsibility
  • Support the day to day running of all aspects of the Conference & Events (C&E) department, ensuring that standards are maintained at all times.
  • Liaise with event organisers to ensure all details are correct as per function sheet, and where required, attend pre-event meetings.
  • Meet with the kitchen team prior to service in respect of timing and quality to ensure food items are served according to the guests requirements.
  • Ensure high standards of food and beverage service delivery in accordance with company standards.
  • Take ownership for guest queries and complaints, taking appropriate action to ensure total guest satisfaction is achieved.

Communicate any problems to the Senior Events Manager or Head of Hospitality Operations.

  • Ensure all staff have clear directions and information, ensuring suitable supervision for function set ups, operations, and post function.
  • Lead by example, train, develop, motivate, and communicate proactively with all tram members.
  • Ensure rooms are cleared the the required standards and set up ready for the next event as per function sheet.
  • Ensure all bars, front and back of house areas are maintained in a clean and tidy manner in line with hygiene and H&S legislation.
  • To be flexible regarding working hours to handle any unexpected requirements.
  • To identify and report any maintenance requirements or potentially hazardous situations.
  • To comply with all legal requirements in respect of health and safety and welfare of all members of staff and customers, including attending COSHH training and practising safe working habits.
