Location: West London (Hybrid working available)

Contract Length: 3–6 months rolling contracts

Rate: £55–£65 per hour (Inside IR35)

The Role: We are working with a well-run organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A RBI+) to support its building control service on a contract basis. You will be joining a small, close-knit, and well-structured team, where collaboration, professionalism, and quality of service are valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out site inspections in line with Building Regulations
  • Assess plans, specifications, and applications for compliance
  • Provide clear and pragmatic technical advice to applicants and contractors
  • Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain records
  • Support the service in meeting statutory and performance requirements
  • Ensure compliance with current Building Safety Act legislation

Requirements:

  • Registered Building Inspector Class 2A or above (RBI+)
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Building Safety legislation
  • Experience working on domestic and low-risk non-domestic projects
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Local authority or approved inspector experience desirable

Contract & IR35: This role is Inside IR35, with potential for CIS depending on working arrangements and assessment.
