Voice & Network Engineer - Gloucester (hybrid) £40k-£47k + on-call allowance & Excellent Benefits

We’re working with a large, multi-site organisation seeking a Voice & Network Engineer to join an established infrastructure team.

This is a varied role supporting both voice and network technologies across a complex environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of critical communications and networking infrastructure, with a particular focus on voice technologies.

What you’ll be doing as the successful Voice & Network Engineer

• Supporting and maintaining voice and network infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Investigating, diagnosing, and resolving network and telephony issues.
• Installing, configuring, and upgrading network and communications hardware and software.
• Managing system backups and supporting disaster recovery processes.
• Monitoring network performance and producing operational reports.
• Supporting LAN, WAN, SIP and unified communications environments.
• Working closely with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal technology teams to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
• Participating in an on-call rota to support business‑critical services.

What we’re looking for in the Voice & Network Engineer

• Experience supporting both voice and networking environments.
• Cisco CUCM
• Cisco UCCE
• Microsoft Teams Voice
• SIP Telephony
• Voice Networking
• LAN/WAN Technologies
• Experience using network monitoring and management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively with wider technical teams.

Nice to have

• Cisco switching and routing experience.
• Firewall technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto or Check Point.
• Cisco ISE, 802.1x or MAB authentication.
• Wireless networking experience.
