Are you a commercially driven procurement professional looking to make a real impact within a growing and innovative business? We're seeking a Strategic Buyer to join a manufacturing company in Bristol, taking ownership of supplier relationships, driving cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials and services that support business growth.
The Role
- Develop and implement procurement strategies
- Conduct benchmarking, monitor project progress, and control supply chain risks
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers
- Manage procurement processes such as RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs,
- Monitor inventory levels,
- Analyze raw material demand
- Place purchase orders, and expedite materials to meet production schedules
- Implement process improvements through ERP system
What we are looking for
- Purchasing related qual (or progress towards) is a big bonus.
- Qualification in a technical discipline (i.e. HNC/HND or Degree).
- MRP fluent, ideally E1 (JD Edwards), SAP or Oracle.
- A record in an engineering/production environment
- Able to manage conflicting priorities and people.
