Data Engineering Manager is required by a large organisation to lead the design, delivery, and operation of a Microsoft Fabric-based data platform supporting BI, analytics, AI/ML and other data initiatives across the organisation.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of data engineers.
- Owning the roadmap for Fabric-based data platform.
- Managing delivery of data engineering projects and platform improvements against agreed quality, timescales, and business needs.
- Overseeing the design, build, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data pipelines and data integrations.
- Ensuring successful delivery of data assets.
- Ensuring platform availability, performance and reliability.
- Embedding data quality, security, and governance controls throughout the data platform.
- Building strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders, and managing third-party/supplier relationships
- Establishing engineering standards and driving CI/CD, DevOps, and automation practices.
Required Experience:
- Significant experience in data engineering/platform roles, with a proven track record delivering complex data platform solutions.
- Experience leading or managing technical engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- SQL, Python, and data modelling skills.
- CI/CD, Git, and DevOps/infrastructure-as-code experience.
