Salary – Upto Β£64K Base + Benefits

  • Lead Data Governance Analysis: Partner with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards and technology teams to gather, analyse and document requirements for data governance, data quality and transformation initiatives.
  • Define & Improve Data Processes: Map current and future-state processes, data flows, roles, responsibilities and governance controls, identifying practical opportunities to improve data ownership, stewardship, quality and trust.
  • Drive Microsoft Purview Adoption: Support the effective adoption and business use of Microsoft Purview, including Data Map, Unified Catalog, business glossary, classifications, collections, lineage, metadata and data quality capabilities.
  • Translate Requirements into Delivery: Convert business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritised backlogs, ensuring governance requirements are translated into actionable deliverables.
  • Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement: Lead workshops, interviews and playback sessions with business and technical stakeholders to establish data definitions, ownership models, governance standards and agreed outcomes.
  • Support Data Quality & Governance Controls: Analyse data quality issues using SQL, reporting tools and profiling outputs; support root-cause analysis, remediation planning, monitoring and the definition of governance metrics, policies and standards.
  • Create High-Quality Governance Documentation: Develop and maintain process maps, business requirements, data dictionaries, glossaries, critical data element definitions, RAID logs, decision records and operating procedures, using tools such as Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence and Visio.
  • Deliver Business Value Through Collaboration: Work closely with data engineering, analytics, architecture, security and compliance teams to embed governance into solution design, while applying strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills and responsibly leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and outcomes.
