Within our Project Services division, the small works team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of planned minor works across a diverse range of prisons across our clients' sites, predominantly MOD & MOJ.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and professional General Operative to work as part of the Project Services Team, delivering trade related solutions to enable BJF Group to meet and exceed client specific contractual obligations across multiple estates of varying ages and building types such as prisons and universities.
Primary responsibilities of the role:
- Respond to reactive calls, carrying out first fix where possible and scoping quotes for repair where first fix is not possible to ensure minimum downtime across sites.
- Carry out all planned building/fabrication maintenance tasks as per program, keeping accurate auditable records of works planned and completed.
- Ensuring the site is kept in good decorative order internally and externally, in line with given specification.
- Establishing strong working relationships to ensure timely completion of daily tasks and projects.
- To always work in a safe manner and to a high standard, in line with best working practices.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2
- ECS or CSCS card
- City & Guilds or other accredited qualification in a relevant field.
