This is a fantastic opportunity for a Public Health Intelligence Analyst to join a high-performing Public Health Team, reporting directly to a Consultant in Public Health. You will play a critical role in shaping strategic decision-making through intelligence, analytics and performance reporting that supports the delivery of key public health priorities.
As a Public Health Intelligence Analyst, you will work across public health, local authority services and NHS partners, providing expert analysis that drives service transformation, tackles health inequalities and supports evidence-based commissioning. This is an opportunity to influence real change through data and intelligence while contributing to innovative population health management programmes.
Your Role as Public Health Intelligence Analyst:
- Lead the development of public health intelligence, analytics and performance reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Utilise SQL, SSIS, T-SQL, Tableau and advanced analytical techniques to deliver high-quality insight and dashboards
- Support population health management programmes through risk stratification, forecasting, cohort identification and evaluation of interventions
- Develop and maintain integrated datasets, ensuring robust data quality, governance and compliance standards
- Provide intelligence and analytical expertise to address health inequalities, commissioning priorities and service improvement initiatives
Your Previous Experience as Public Health Intelligence Analyst:
- Strong experience within public health, healthcare, local government or a related analytical environment
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, database management, business intelligence tools and data visualisation techniques
- Experience analysing complex datasets and presenting findings to senior stakeholders in a clear and impactful way
- Understanding of public health datasets, population health management, performance frameworks and outcomes measurement
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across organisations, managing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines
