An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and versatile Personal Assistant / Bookkeeper to support across a number of private and business interests for a high-net-worth family.
This is a varied and newly created role, ideally suited to someone who enjoys being hands-on, working autonomously and bringing structure and efficiency to a broad range of responsibilities.
The role combines bookkeeping and finance administration with personal assistance and general administration, and will suit someone who is highly organised, discreet and genuinely enjoys getting things done.
The role is predominantly remote, with at least one day a week in central London and a monthly visit to Kent.
Key Responsibilities
- General administration: Manage filing, information, diaries and processes across the businesses and personal affairs, including monthly paper filing and document management.
- Manage bookkeeping and accounts across the businesses, allocating expenses
- Manage payroll and VAT, and prepare quarterly MTD and annual information for the relevant accountants.
- Payments & invoicing: Manage authorised payments, property utility bills and records of payments, as well as client invoicing.
- Property management and administration
- Travel & personal administration: booking flights, transfers, hotels and itineraries
- Estate administration.
- Compliance & business administration
- Filing & document management: Maintain and manage invoices, contracts, NDAs, proposals and engagement letters, including sending and storing documents.
- General support: Provide occasional diary support and other miscellaneous administration as required.
About You
- Must have degree in accounting, or equivalent bookkeeping experience, AAT or part-qualified ACCA
- Experienced in bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and basic accounting
- Confident managing payments and financial administration
- Background working within a family office, estate/property or working for HNWI
- Thoroughly competent, quick and versatile
- Extremely efficient and organised, with excellent attention to detail
- Discreet and trustworthy
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently
- Someone with a genuine“can do” attitude
- Highly competent in Word, Excel and Google Workspace
The successful candidate will work closely with both principals and will become an important and trusted part of the day-to-day running of their business and personal affairs.
