We have an exciting Maintenance Engineer role to join our Taw Valley Creamery. This is especially exciting as the creamery is undergoing a major transformation, thanks to a £180 million investment. As this project evolves and the site expands so will the opportunities to make an impact. The role is shift based with a 4 on/4 off days and nights, 12 hour work pattern.
How you will make an impact:
- Provide critical breakdown support across a complex 24/7 production site from chilling systems, conveyors through to cheese processing equipment.
- Carry out planned, preventative maintenance and servicing activities as planned via the CMMS system.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose breakdowns using structured problem solving techniques and drive continuous improvement to improve operational efficiencies.
- Champion health and safety by adhering to safety standards, SOPs and participating in risk assessment.
- Support and lean into projects across the site, both small and large, actively inputting to site development and performance.
What will make you successful:
- You should have experience working in a fast-paced environment within FMCG, food, or regulated manufacturing, ideally in a maintenance engineer or similar role.
- It is preferred that you are time served or apprentice trained as an electrical, mechanical, or multiskilled engineer, qualified to at least NVQ Level 3, ONC, or higher.
- Structured problem solving skills, including root cause analysis and fault finding, are essential for the position.
- Additionally, you should be computer literate, with experience using SAP PM or a similar CMMS system, as well as Microsoft Office.
