As a Box Packer Operator at our flagship Aylesbury Dairy, you will play an integral part in the production of our fantastic dairy products. Our Aylesbury site is the largest fresh milk site in Europe where we produce for most of the UK retailers under their own brand.

The role will be to support a team, optimize resources and coordinate activities to ensure the targets are met which in turn contributes to ensuring site goals are achieved. We are looking for somebody to join the team on a full time, permanent basis, covering both days and night 12 hour shifts. You will monitor the running of our production lines ensuring key targets are achieved. The shift pattern is over 5 weeks and includes 10 consecutive days off!

- Work to high standards to achieve departmental targets in Quality, Efficiency, Waste and cost reduction.
- Actively contribute and seek continuous improvements to achieve departmental targets.
- Resolve minor breakdowns and carry out basic maintenance.
- Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems.
- Maintain strict food hygiene and health and safety standards.
- Ensure departmental procedures are followed and records are maintained.
- Contribute to the team reporting and decision-making process.
- Ensure quality, hygiene, health and safety standards are met and regular audits are conducted.
- Actively promote communication links and good working relationships with colleagues.
- Maintain high standards of work ethics in respect to lateness and absences.
- Plan production effectively to optimise resources and output.
- To carry out any other duties commensurate with the role.
- Fully integrate and deliver daily asset care to all equipment.
- Operate and take ownership of various pieces of packaging equipment, ensuring its effective and high performing operation.
What you’ll need to be successful in the role
- We are looking for a motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and knows about supply chain processes and sticking to health and safety rules.
- Having previous experience of working in a FMCG or related company would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings.
- You’ll be a strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills.
- Forklift licence would be beneficial —we’ve got training ready!
