Join Our Production Team:
We're looking for a motivated Bagging & FLT Operator to join our team at AFI Taw Valley. This is a hands-on role responsible for the safe and efficient bagging, packaging, storage and dispatch of demineralised permeate powder while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and hygiene.
The shift pattern is a 4 days on 4 days off rolling rota, days only 06:00 – 18:00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate bagging, packaging and dispatch equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, move and store finished products using a Counterbalance FLT.
- Monitor production performance and support achievement of site KPI targets.
- Carry out quality checks and report any process deviations promptly.
- Complete production records and documentation accurately.
- Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support continuous improvement activities and problem-solving initiatives.
- Work closely with colleagues to minimise downtime and improve performance.
- Follow all site safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.
- Participate in training and development activities as required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Competent IT skills and familiar with Microsoft applications.
- Always prioritise safety
Desirable:
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck experience.
- Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene standards.
- Previous experience within food manufacturing, production or process operations.
- HACCP Level 1 or equivalent food safety training.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement.
- Knowledge of OEE, SAP or similar production systems.
