1Four1 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential children's care provider in Horsham. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers with previous experience supporting children or young people who are committed to promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

Working as part of a supportive team, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred care while helping children develop confidence, life skills and positive relationships. There are also opportunities to significantly increase your earnings through regular sleep-in shifts paid at £83 per night.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to children and young people within a residential setting
  • Create a safe, structured and caring home environment
  • Support children before and after school, including meal times and daily routines
  • Participate in care planning, behaviour management and risk assessments
  • Accompany children on recreational activities and community outings
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents and safeguarding concerns
  • Act as a positive role model while promoting independence and personal development
  • Attend training and contribute to maintaining high standards of care
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people within a care or support environment is essential
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Child Support Worker or similar role
  • Caring, patient and resilient with excellent communication skills
  • Flexible to work early, late and day shifts, with opportunities to complete sleep-ins
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential
  • Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK. No sponsorship is available.
