1Four1 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a respected residential children's home seeking a compassionate and reliable Waking Night Support Worker.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children or young people who is looking to join a supportive team committed to providing a safe, nurturing and stable environment.

Working waking nights, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing and security of the children throughout the night while maintaining a calm and positive atmosphere within the home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout the night
  • Maintain the security of the home and complete regular checks
  • Accurately complete attendance records and required documentation
  • Safely administer and store medication in line with procedures
  • Remain vigilant and report any safeguarding concerns immediately
  • Build positive relationships with children and colleagues
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming home environment
  • Follow care plans, policies and guidance from the Registered Manager
  • Attend mandatory training and continue your professional development

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people within a care or support environment is essential
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Children's Support Worker or similar role
  • A caring, patient and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work permanent waking night shifts
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
  • No sponsorship is available. Applicants must already have the Right to Work in the UK.
