1Four1 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential children's care provider in Horsham.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker with previous experience supporting children or young people who is confident leading shifts and promoting high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts in the absence of the Team Leader
  • Support children and young people using a person-centred approach
  • Administer medication safely in line with company policies
  • Promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes
  • Support personal care where required in accordance with individual care plans
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and professionals
  • Complete accurate care records and reports
  • Contribute to care planning, reviews and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed
  • Maintain the security, safety and cleanliness of the home
  • Support and mentor colleagues while promoting best practice

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is essential
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people within a residential care or support environment is essential
  • Experience leading shifts or supervising staff
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Compassionate, reliable and able to act as a positive role model
  • Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
  • Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK. No sponsorship is available.
