The Company
10 Recruitment are working with an established manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias to join their technical team. This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for keeping machinery, equipment and premises operating safely and efficiently, whilst also supporting continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electro-mechanical faults
- Maintaining machinery and site premises
- Manufacturing and fabricating machine parts where required
- Supporting TPM and continuous improvement activities
- Helping to improve machinery reliability and production efficiency
- Working in line with health, safety and quality procedures
- Promoting good manufacturing practice
- Working independently whilst also supporting the wider engineering team
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience
- Electro-mechanical experience
- Experience maintaining manufacturing or production equipment
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manufacture or fabricate machine parts
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong understanding of health & safety and quality standards
Desirable Experience
- Power press experience
- Metal forming machinery
- Welding/fabrication experience
- Experience within a similar manufacturing environment
- TPM / continuous improvement experience
- Abrasive wheel training
- Previous involvement in Health & Safety initiatives
Hours: Monday–Friday
Shift Pattern: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
