The Company

10 Recruitment are working with an established manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias to join their technical team. This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for keeping machinery, equipment and premises operating safely and efficiently, whilst also supporting continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electro-mechanical faults
  • Maintaining machinery and site premises
  • Manufacturing and fabricating machine parts where required
  • Supporting TPM and continuous improvement activities
  • Helping to improve machinery reliability and production efficiency
  • Working in line with health, safety and quality procedures
  • Promoting good manufacturing practice
  • Working independently whilst also supporting the wider engineering team

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer
  • Strong mechanical maintenance experience
  • Electro-mechanical experience
  • Experience maintaining manufacturing or production equipment
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manufacture or fabricate machine parts
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong understanding of health & safety and quality standards

Desirable Experience

  • Power press experience
  • Metal forming machinery
  • Welding/fabrication experience
  • Experience within a similar manufacturing environment
  • TPM / continuous improvement experience
  • Abrasive wheel training
  • Previous involvement in Health & Safety initiatives

Hours: Monday–Friday

Shift Pattern: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00

Flexibility: Required
