We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (IVVQ) to join ZeroAvia based in Kemble. This role owns and drives the planning of validation, integration, verification, and environmental qualification test campaigns across the ZA200 propulsion system, flexing across these activities as programme needs evolve. This is a critical position supporting the delivery of certified, zero emission aircraft propulsion systems, directly contributing to ZeroAvia's mission.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver IVVQ activities across aircraft, system, and item levels for the ZA200 fuel cell system.
- Develop and maintain V&V, integration, and qualification plans, ensuring alignment with lifecycle and programme schedules.
- Plan and execute validation, integration, verification, and DO-160G environmental qualification campaigns.
- Authorise test specifications, procedures, execution, and results; lead defect investigation and resolution.
- Lead IVVQ reviews and represent IVVQ at design reviews, managing verification risk and stakeholder alignment (customer, regulator, suppliers).
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Airworthiness, Certification, Safety, Test, Design) to deliver compliant IVVQ in line with ARP4754B / ARP4761A.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline (Master’s preferred).
- ~6+ years’ systems engineering experience in aerospace, including certified or in-certification programmes.
- Strong working knowledge of ARP4754B (essential), with familiarity of ARP4761/A, DO-178C, DO-254.
- Proven experience planning and executing system-level IVVQ programmes, including verification strategy, test development, and traceability.
- Experience with DO-160G environmental qualification and supplier test oversight (including witnessing and data acceptance).
- Proficiency with requirements tools (e.g., Polarion); experience in propulsion, fuel cell, electric, or emerging aerospace systems advantageous.
