Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
- Ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are maintained.
- Oversee the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Recruit, support, mentor, and develop nursery staff.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements, safeguarding legislation, and all relevant policies and procedures.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external agencies.
- Manage nursery occupancy, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement and prepare for Ofsted inspections.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and inspiring workplace culture.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (minimum essential).
- Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Early Years or equivalent (desirable).
- Proven experience in a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or Room Leader position.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
