The Role
We are the WPP Media GCS (Global Client Solutions) MMD (Media Management & Delivery) team, servicing both centrally executed campaigns in multiple languages as well as coordinating and supporting strategic directions across markets. We work on a mix of blue-chip clients for both direct and brand-led initiatives including but not limited to: adidas, AkzoNobel, Mastercard, PlayStation, the Coca-Cola Company, and many more. The Cross Channel Account Manager is a vital, hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day execution, optimization, and reporting of biddable media (Search, Social, and Programmatic) within the newly formed European HME Hub. Reporting directly to the Cross Channel Account Director, you will be the key driver of campaign performance. You will manage the end-to-end campaign lifecycle—from initial setup to daily optimization and post-campaign analysis—ensuring that all activities are delivered flawlessly and align with local market requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Campaign Execution & Optimization: Own the end-to-end activation process for Search, Social, and Programmatic campaigns across European markets, ensuring flawless setup, QA, and launch. Make campaign adjustments and optimisations (bid management, budget shifts, audience targeting, and creative rotations) to maximize campaign performance and meet client KPIs. Implement best-practice campaign hygiene, naming conventions, and structural frameworks across all platform accounts. Utilize automation tools and platform features to increase daily work efficiency and streamline execution across EMEA workstreams.
- Reporting & Market Support: Act as the day-to-day operational contact for local market stakeholders, answering technical questions, troubleshooting tracking issues, and delivering performance updates. Gather, analyze, and package weekly/monthly performance data into clear, actionable reports and insights for client and internal review. Support the Account Director in identifying optimization trends, testing opportunities, and platform innovations to share with local European markets. Ensure tracking, tagging, and measurement setups are fully validated prior to campaign launches.
- Workflow Coordination & Financial Hygiene: Coordinate daily task delivery with our offshore activation hub in India, providing clear briefs, reviewing their output, and ensuring timely campaign deployment. Support the mentorship and day-to-day guidance of junior team members/Executives. Maintain strict financial hygiene by monitoring daily campaign spend against budgets, managing media plans, and assisting with monthly billing and reconciliation processes.
About Yourself (Skills and Experience)
- A Hands-On Practitioner: You are highly technical, detail-oriented, and love working directly within biddable platforms. You can troubleshoot a tracking pixel or fine-tune an audience segment with ease.
