- Accommodation Caseworker
- Part-time position of 21 hours per week
- Fixed term contract to 8 April 2027, with the possibility of extension subject to funding
- Annual salary of £14,894.91 (pro-rata of £26,243.41 FTE), rising by 4% upon successful probationary period
Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse.
We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.
Responsibilities
Main purpose of the post
- Based in refuge, provide high quality practical and emotional support to ensure individuals who have experienced domestic abuse have the foundations to live free from fear.
- Develop support and safety plans.
- Provide appropriate signposting to local services.
- Offer mental health support, financial and welfare advice, and rehousing assistance.
Qualifications
- Evidence of strong casework management skills and good written and verbal communication.
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining professional boundaries.
- Experience providing direct support to vulnerable individuals.
- Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to domestic violence, including civil and criminal legislation and welfare rights (desirable).

Our benefits include 24 days per annum plus all public bank holidays (pro rata for part-time staff), your birthday off every year, regular clinical supervision with an external provider and a 3% employer contributory pension.
