W Talent are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an experienced engineering team working a Continental shift pattern. This role is ideal for an engineer with either an electrical or mechanical bias who is comfortable carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs across a range of production machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with the site's maintenance schedule.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Maintain and improve the performance and reliability of production machinery.
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and update the site's maintenance management system.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring faults.
  • Contribute to maintaining high engineering standards across the manufacturing facility.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
  • Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Electrical or mechanical bias with multi-skilled maintenance capabilities.
  • Experience carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A proactive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
