W Talent are supporting a global industrial manufacturing business based in Sheffield in the search for a hybrid-based European Sales Manager to drive strategic growth across industrial distribution and end-user markets. This is a high-impact commercial role focused on developing distributor relationships, expanding market share, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across the EU region. The successful candidate will act as a key interface between customers, distribution partners, and internal business functions.

The European Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategy across distribution and end-user channels. You will manage key distributor accounts, identify new business opportunities, and support the overall direction of the European sales function. The role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and hands-on commercial execution. You will work cross-functionally with production, customer service, quality, and wider commercial teams to deliver growth and customer value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and grow sales across regional distribution accounts in line with business growth targets.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with distributors, representatives, and end-user customers across Europe.
  • Conduct regular customer engagement and sales calls to identify needs, VOC feedback, and new product opportunities.
  • Develop and execute structured territory and account plans to maximise market coverage and sales performance.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline within CRM systems, ensuring accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations showcasing product capabilities and value propositions.
  • Promote technical understanding of products, applications, and solutions to customers and stakeholders.
  • Identify, document, and follow up on new business leads and growth opportunities.
  • Manage customer issues, complaints, and returns in line with internal processes.
  • Apply value-selling techniques to position solutions against competitors and alternatives.
  • Prepare pricing and quotation proposals for approval where required.
  • Represent the business at customer events, exhibitions, trade shows, and industry meetings.
  • Travel up to 50% across the assigned European territory.
  • Work collaboratively across internal departments including Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Technical teams.

Education & Experience

  • Ideally located within 1 hour of Sheffield.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in industrial sales or technical B2B sales environment.
  • Proven experience working with distributors, OEMs, contractors, or industrial partners.
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience within industrial products, manufacturing, or engineered solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

This is a hybrid European-based position with travel across the assigned territory (up to 50%).
