About the job

The Role

  • Preparation of UK year-end accounts under FRS 102 1a and FRS 105
  • Preparation of year-end financial statements to review stage, ensuring all queries are resolved as far as possible
  • Preparation of the year-end corporation tax to review stage
  • Preparation of personal and SME tax returns
  • Reconcile balance sheet and P&L items with respective work papers
  • Collate and record source data information accurately in client accounting systems
  • Review and analyze financial data of client organizations
  • Effectively communicate with internal team, HMRC and other third-party providers where needed
  • Keep up to date with all legislation and industry changes through CPD and independent research

The Person

  • At least 3–4 years of UK accounting and taxation experience is a must to apply for the position
  • External audit exposure and experience in UK corporation tax are required
  • Proficiency in working with IRIS Tax system and CCH Tax system is a definite plus for this role
  • Part or fully qualified in CA / CIMA / ACCA or degree holder in commerce / business management and finance from a reputed university
  • Strong numeracy and reconciliation skills
  • Proficiency in the use of packages like Xero, MYOB, Sage, and QB
  • Proven ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
