This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse team leader, senior operative or supervisory experience who is ready to develop further. As Warehouse Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day running of inbound and outbound operations, working closely with the existing Supervisor and wider management team. The role will be a mix of being visible on the warehouse floor and supporting planning, systems and processes.

The warehouse uses Microsoft D365, so experience with D365 or another WMS would be highly beneficial. You will need to be hands-on, organised, confident with people and able to fit into a busy, down-to-earth environment.

Key responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor will include:

  • Supporting inbound and outbound warehouse operations
  • Supervising warehouse personnel and daily activity
  • Helping to manage workloads, priorities and operational flow
  • Supporting goods-in, storage, picking, packing and despatch
  • Ensuring daily and weekly MHE checks are completed
  • Supporting safe use of narrow aisle pickers, counterbalance trucks, powered pallet trucks and scissor lifts
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, hygiene and safety
  • Supporting health and safety processes, including manual handling
  • Coaching, mentoring and supporting warehouse staff
  • Ensuring warehouse processes and checklists are followed
  • Supporting training plans and identifying development needs

The successful Warehouse Supervisor will need:

  • Previous warehouse supervisory, team leader or senior warehouse operative experience
  • People management experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
  • A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of warehouse KPIs, accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Experience using D365 or another WMS
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and Excel
  • Awareness of MHE checks and warehouse safety requirements
  • A good sense of humour, resilience and the ability to fit into a busy warehouse environment

This is not a purely office-based Warehouse Supervisor role. You will be expected to be visible on the floor, support the team, keep standards high and help the operation run smoothly.
