Oxfam’s Romsey shop is looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to support with homeware sorting and pricing. This hands-on role is perfect for anyone who enjoys working as part of a team and helping create an inviting shop environment.
You’ll play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring donated items are ready for sale and helping the shop raise funds for Oxfam’s work.
What you’ll be doing
- Sorting donated homeware items ready for sale
- Cleaning, polishing (including silver), and preparing items
- Researching and pricing items, including spotting valuable or vintage pieces
- Creating attractive displays on the shop floor
- Chatting with customers dropping off donations
- Working alongside the shop team and supporting daily shop tasks
What we’re looking for
- Reliability and punctuality
- A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
- An interest in homeware, retail, or charity work
- No prior experience is needed – full training and support will be provided
- Relevant qualifications or training are helpful but not essential
