We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming Early Years setting in Slough. You will support children with their learning, development and daily routines, helping to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in line with the EYFS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children’s learning and development through engaging activities
  • Assist with EYFS activities and daily routines
  • Support children’s communication and social development
  • Help with meals, personal care and transitions
  • Observe and record children’s progress
  • Promote positive behaviour and independence
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating environment
  • Work closely with the nursery team and families

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or equivalent
  • Previous nursery or Early Years experience
  • Good understanding of the EYFS
  • Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Right to Work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children aged 0–5
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs
