About UKES Rail UKES Rail Ltd was proudly formed in June 2010 working in the commercial sector before making the decision to focus solely on the railway sector in 2014.

Since then we have carried out work with Network Rail, Southwest Trains, Southern Rail, Thames Link, C2C and the Sussex, Wessex and Kent routes.

Job Description We are looking for motivated fully qualified electricians to join our current team working across all our contracts.

Supporting our supervisors, you will join a motivated team where people genuinely have you back and offer support whenever it is needed.

You will work alongside an apprentice so a willingness to support their training is essential.

Due to the nature of our working environment, there will be a requirement to work night shifts and occasional weekends.

These hours are paid at an enhanced rate.

Duties will include

  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports
  • PPM Works
  • Reactive Works
  • Remedial Works
  • Installation of containment
  • Installation of Wiring Systems

* Inspection & Testing Qualifications and Skills

  • C&G NVQ level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • Time served (Preferred)
  • 18th Edition
  • Experience in carrying out installation work
  • Experience in carrying out EICR's
  • 2391 - Electrical Inspection & Testing or equivalent (Experience essential, qualification preferred)
  • Experience in railway work (Preferred)
  • Full clean UK driving licence (Clean preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills Package:
  • Up to £52,000 depending on experience

  • Full uniform provided Network rail has a zero-tolerance approach to individuals attending work whilst under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

As such the successful applicant will be required to attend a full medical which includes a drug & alcohol test, if this is failed then employment will be ceased immediately.
