Beyond is University College Birmingham's new restaurant in Birmingham City Centre, opening in December 2026, and we're recruiting Waiters and Waitresses for the opening team. Beyond is a commercial restaurant run by a professional team, and these are purely operational roles with no teaching involved. During the day we run an all-day offer built around excellent coffee, and in the evening we move into full service with serious food and a proper drinks list. You'll work both, so you'll learn quick, relaxed daytime service and full evening service in the same job. If you want to build a career in hospitality, there's a group of sites to progress through.
What are we looking for from Waiter and Waitress candidates?
- Previous floor or waiting experience in a restaurant, bar or coffee-led site
- Able to hold your own section through a full service
- Good with guests, and able to talk about the food and drink you're serving
- Willing to learn a coffee and drinks offer as well as the food menu
- Organised, tidy and able to keep up through a busy service
- Available across a seven day operation, including evenings and weekends
If this sounds like your next role, apply today with your CV and we'll be in touch.
