A well renowned local Bar & Restaurant in Clifton, Bristol are looking for their next superstar Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in all aspects of the venue, including its day-to-day operations, customer experience, and team management. The individual will need to be passionate about food and drink, and be committed to getting the best out of the team and delivering fantastic service!

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager or an individual looking to take their first step up to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead the FOH team during shifts to ensure the effective implementation of bar and floor service.
  • To ensure the smooth management of the restaurant floor and bar.
  • To oversee and organise bookings/reservations to maximise covers.
  • To deliver exceptional customer service standards and problem solve issues as and when they arise.
  • To support the development of a motivated and high performing team committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • To cash up and help in the preparation of payroll, stock takes and other financial aspects of the company.
  • To identify areas for growth and development, including in reducing environmental footprint.
  • To bring creative ideas to menus, promotions and future development.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in hospitality with at least 1 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a similar environment.
  • Confidence and experience in running busy shifts.
  • Understanding the importance of working to financial targets, and food and drink GPs.
  • Good knowledge of craft beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, as well as locally-sourced food menus.
  • Barista trained.
  • Good knowledge of food and bar service from a FOH perspective and the ability to work well with the Head and Sous Chefs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skills managing a team, adapting rotas, time planning and team building.
  • Knowledge of Compliance, Health and Safety and Food standards (company training provided).
