Location: Midlands (covering Birmingham, Coventry, Nottingham, Leicester, and surrounding areas)
Employment Type: Full-time | Permanent
Basic Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum
OTE: £60,000+ (with door-to-door pay, overtime, and on-call bonuses)
The Opportunity
TSM Technical is working on behalf of a well-established service partner in the door systems industry. We're looking for a Service Engineer to cover the Midlands, supporting a growing client base across commercial, retail, and industrial sectors. This is a varied and rewarding role focused on the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of automatic and industrial doors. The position offers long-term career progression, full support from a regional engineering manager, and excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and install: Industrial shutters, roller doors, and sectional doors
- Diagnose faults and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Respond to emergency call-outs and breakdowns
- Complete all job reporting using a company-issued iPad
- Follow health & safety procedures and wear full PPE
- Deliver high standards of customer service while on site
- Participate in the on-call rota (approx. Minimum 2 years experience with automatic doors)
Qualifications
- EN16005 or BS7036 qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS card
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Comfortable with digital reporting (iPad/tablet use)
Desirable:
- Experience with industrial doors
- IPAF, PASMA, or DHF accreditation
Package & Benefits
- Basic Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum
- On-Call Pay: £175/week + bonuses for call-outs
- Overtime Rates: 1.5x after 5:00 PM; 2x on Sundays & Bank Holidays
