A large and successful accountancy practice, with multiple offices across the region, are looking to recruit an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join their team in Bristol. With the role split approximately equally between audit and non-audit assignments, you'll work directly with a Partner and have the opportunity to take ownership of assignments, supervise junior colleagues and develop strong client relationships across a diverse SME client base.
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting Partners and Managers in the planning, budgeting and delivery of audit assignments, including fieldwork and analytical review.
- Managing audit assignments through to completion, ensuring all working papers and supporting documentation meet required standards.
- Undertaking corporate and charity audits independently
- Preparing audit reports and other client deliverables, while maintaining strong communication with clients and their teams.
- Building strong client relationships and developing an understanding of their businesses, sectors and commercial challenges.
- Supervising junior team members on larger engagements, delegating tasks, reviewing work and providing guidance throughout the audit process.
- Working closely with colleagues across the firm to provide a joined-up service and identify opportunities to support clients.
The successful Audit & Accounts Senior will:
- Be ACA or ACCA part or fully qualified, with at least two to three years' recent audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- You'll have a strong understanding of current auditing and accounting requirements, together with good knowledge of relevant standards and company law.
- You’ll be confident working directly with clients and colleagues, with excellent communication skills andstrong attention to detail.
- Experience working across a varied portfolio of clients will be important, alongside good IT
