A well-respected accountancy practice in Sherborne is looking to recruit an Accounts Technician to join its growing team. This is a varied role offering exposure to a broad range of clients and responsibilities, making it ideal for an Accounts Technician who enjoys a hands-on position within a collaborative practice environment.
The role of Accounts Technician will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
- Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments
- Producing management accounts for a varied client portfolio
- Supporting clients with accounting and bookkeeping queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded
The successful Accounts Technician will have:
Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice and be comfortable working across a range of accounting and tax assignments.
AAT qualification, either part or fully completed, would be advantageous, although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. As an Accounts Technician, you'll be organised, detail-oriented and able to manage a varied workload whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach will be key, alongside a genuine desire to provide an excellent service to clients.
