THE ROLE
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quarry Manager based at our Blackborough End Sand & Gravel Quarry. The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing and overseeing the safe operation of the Quarry, stock and recycling yard and the planned preventative maintenance of all site equipment;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Health & Safety, Environmental and Planning regulations;
- The leadership, supervision, and development of your team on site;
- Maintain the Quarry Development Plan;
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections and audits, and maintain safety documentation;
- Work closely with and follow instructions from the Production Manager;
- Carry out additional Quarry Duties as required.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- At least 3 years experience managing and leading teams;
- Excellent awareness of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation;
- Completed, or be working towards, a SHE NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent);
- Excellent understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP;
- A good understanding of static and mobile plant and machinery, including maintenance planning.
