Since its opening, the Menier Chocolate Factory has played host to a variety of critically‑acclaimed and award‑winning productions, including many that have gone on to transfer to the West End and Broadway. The Menier Chocolate Factory is known for its commitment to bringing new and innovative productions to the stage, as well as reviving classic works with fresh and exciting interpretations.
We are looking for an experienced ticketing professional to join our small team in an exciting theatre production office. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the ticketing & box office, including sales, website management, CRM and memberships. This role will liaise with the Artistic Director and General Manager, FOH staff and Catering Manager. The ability to work as part of a team, have excellent customer service skills, and handle multiple tasks are essential.
- Box office management: Including group bookings, house seats, dynamic pricing.
- Ticketing systems experience: We use Nliven for all in‑house shows, and are in partnership with KX tickets for setup. We also use FeverZone on an external project.
- Knowledge of website management: Our site is built on Wordpress, but experience with a comparable website CMS is paramount.
- Experience with third‑party ticketing agents: We have relationships with all the major ticketing platforms in the industry, and would want a candidate with an understanding of that network.
- Customer service skills: We process a large amount of our access, concessionary and group bookings by phone and email.
- Experience with social media and asset management: A working knowledge of Photoshop or Canva is a plus.
- Excellent IT, numeracy, reporting, and communication skills: With a meticulous eye for detail. The role will require reporting in various forms.
- Experience with Mailchimp or similar CRM software.
- Experience with membership and subscription management.
General Information
- Contract: Full time, permanent
- Hours: Monday‑Friday 9am-6pm, with some additional evening and weekends
- Salary: Salary commensurate with experience £30-35K
