Experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer required on a permanent basis to cover the Essex/Kent/London region.

The role:

  • Carry out all Service Inspection and ensure all Service Inspection work is carried out to a high standard within agreed timescales.
  • Resolve issues that may arise by identifying problems and finding resources to offer solutions.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately and on time. This includes site paperwork, expense forms & timesheets.
  • Champion a health and safety culture to ensure the safety and wellbeing of oneself, colleagues, and customers on site.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Use of laptops for fire systems.
  • Broad industry knowledge of both products and standards.
  • Ability to take responsibility.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise.
  • Good face-to-face interaction with customers.
  • Excellent time management.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience in Conventional Fire Detection Systems and Analogue Addressable Systems.
  • Experience in Suppression Systems desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of BS 5839.
  • Good working knowledge of fire alarm software (Morley/Kentec/Advanced/Notifier/Gent).
  • Industry on the job experience is essential.
  • Fully qualified installation engineers will be considered for this role.
  • Electricians with experience of fire alarm installations will be considered.
  • Must be prepared to work away as when required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years in a similar role.
  • CSCS / ECS card preferably FIA.
  • Experience in following Rams closely.
  • Engineers will be required to work on retail & commercial premises.
