The Growth Company’s (GC) Corporation Services team have an exciting new opportunity for a HR Advisor to provide operational HR support, advice and guidance to managers across the business on a range of employee relations and change management issues.

This role is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employment law, HR policies, procedures, and best practice across a range of employee relations matters.
  • Support organisational change activities, including restructures, redeployment, redundancy, and TUPE processes.
  • Coach and develop managers on key people management topics, including performance, capability, absence management, and conflict resolution.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business, delivering professional and effective HR solutions.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, produce reports, and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR services.
  • Identify risks, challenge where appropriate, and provide practical recommendations to support effective decision‑making.
  • Work collaboratively within the HR team, sharing knowledge and contributing to team objectives.
  • Promote and comply with Health and Safety policies and undertake additional duties relevant to the role as required.

About You

  • You are CIPD qualified, working towards qualification, or have equivalent relevant HR experience.
  • You have at least three years’ recent experience in a broad HR Advisor or generalist role.
  • You have up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • You are professional, credible, and confident when dealing with colleagues at all levels.
  • You are solution‑focused and able to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment.
  • You are adaptable, resilient, and able to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound judgements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Confident delivering coaching, guidance, and training to managers.
  • Proficient in maintaining confidential records and producing accurate HR reports.
