About the role:
To play a key role in delivering Back Up’s Limitless Ambition strategy by growing support through community fundraising and challenge events, creating memorable experiences that inspire people to get involved, raise money and stay connected to Back Up.
As Community & Challenge Events Officer, you will help shape and deliver a varied programme of community fundraising and challenge events that gives people lots of different ways to support Back Up. From local fundraising organised by schools, community groups and supporters to challenge events such as The Push, The London Marathon and Do the Loop. You will make sure every supporter has an outstanding experience and understands the difference their fundraising makes.
Working closely with colleagues, volunteers and people affected by spinal cord injury, you will create fundraising opportunities that are welcoming, inclusive and shaped by lived experience. You’ll build strong relationships with supporters, helping them feel part of Back Up’s community and inspiring them to support our work for years to come.

We have a unique portfolio of high-impact services, and we are the only spinal cord injury charity in the UK providing dedicated services to children and young people.

What will the process involve?
The process will involve at least one interview round which will be either in person or online. There will be a panel interviewing you and you may be asked to complete a task beforehand to present to the panel.
