The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

As a Fitter, we would ask you to bring the following skills and experience:

  • A basic understanding of simple mechanical systems;
  • Practical experience with mechanical systems gained through previous employment, education, or relevant hobbies/interests;
  • Confident with hands-on, practical tasks;
  • Entry-level (Level 2) English literacy skills;
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure;
  • A proactive and motivated approach to learning in a hands-on environment;
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team;
  • Experience with welding is also desirable.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake security vetting, which includes a criminal records check and the provision of five years’ continuous education and/or employment references.

This is a full-time role based onsite at our facility in Colnbrook on Poyle Trading Estate. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspecting, repairing and servicing the cargo movement and handling equipment;
  • Maintenance of cable drum brakes, wheel bearings, conveyor roller beds, and chassis turntables;
  • Welding.
