About Us: Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast-growing manufacturer, supplying carbon/glass fibre composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. Operating across three distinct product groups namely commercial, defence and business jet products, this role is an opportunity to join a team putting the finishing touches to our highly technical products. The manufacturing facility houses some of the most advanced machining technology in Europe such as a multi axis NDT robotic machine, automated material cutting machine and multi axis CNC machining centres. The Role: An experienced Manufacturing Engineer with practice of developing and implementing New Products and general business improvements to maximise production, profitability and customer service within an Aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a manufacturing engineer, ideally in an Aerospace / Advanced Composites environment or other regulated industry. The role requires a self-motivated individual who is able to work both in a team, but also on a sole project and can make effective decisions to maximise production effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interrogate product design data / specifications to develop methods of manufacture and tooling philosophies for the manufacture of composite components.
- Compile accurate process plans, labour breakdown, Bill of materials and tooling solutions to enable accurate estimates and bid proposals to be produced.
- Create and maintain Manufacturing Work Instructions, shop orders and Bills of materials.
- Lead / assist with the resolution of day to day production issues.
- Support RCCA activity using structured problem solving techniques (e.g. 8d).
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes.
- Support daily operations meetings.
- Lead and support continuous Improvement / margin enhancement projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with Composite Materials and Manufacturing processes - Essential.
- Experience in Aerospace or other regulated Engineering environment - Essential.
- Degree/HNC Engineering and/or Equivalent professional qualification - Desirable.
- Experience with continuous improvement techniques - Desirable.
- Computer literate (MS Office proficient) - Essential.

- Manufacturing Engineering is a support activity to production operations, this role will be a mix of office and shopfloor based.
