Job Purpose

In line with Technip FMC Global Planning Processes and Policies, as well as local Planning Procedures, provide NPD material planning analysis and execution support for new product introduction and project-driven requirements.

The Planner supports engineering and project execution teams by managing material demand, requisitions, BOM alignment, engineering change impact, and SAP planning activities to help ensure readiness, visibility, and timely execution across the product introduction lifecycle.

Job Description

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform material sourcing and extension activities in SAP for NPD scope to enable timely planning and execution.
  • Create, maintain, and validate demand in SAP to support project and product introduction requirements.
  • Create and release requisitions for goods and services in line with project priorities and agreed execution strategy.
  • Support change management activities by assessing planning impact and coordinating updates across relevant functions.
  • Review engineering changes and perform impact analysis to ensure material planning and system data remain aligned.
  • Compare and refresh BOM data between engineering and SAP systems to maintain planning accuracy.
  • Support project execution through expediting, material movement coordination, and work order-related planning activities.
  • Prepare status reports and analysis such as purchase order status, shortages, and planning exceptions to highlight risks and required actions.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure readiness for new product introduction milestones.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of NPD planning processes, data quality, and execution visibility across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications (professional, technical, academic)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Planning, Supply Chain.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge

  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant planning experience in a project, manufacturing, or new product introduction environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, material planning, and project execution processes.
  • Appreciation and understanding of the Engineering Execution Process (EEP) and engineering change workflows.
  • Practical understanding of engineering BOMs, material masters, and document-controlled data.
  • Experience in demand creation, requisition handling, planning analysis, and exception management in SAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze planning risks or deviations and recommend effective cross-functional solutions.
  • Demonstrates effective written, verbal, and listening communication across engineering, sourcing, procurement, and manufacturing functions.
  • Ability to prepare and present clear status updates, shortage analysis, and action-oriented reports for stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a matrixed environment with multiple priorities and frequent change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Good workload management and organisation skills.
  • Confident in hosting meetings and presenting updates to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Technical/General Competencies
  • Proficient in SAP S4 Hana • Microsoft Excel (Advanced user) • Data analysis • Developing and using KPIs
  • Additional Skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in NPD, project planning, or product lifecycle-related planning activities.
  • Good knowledge and experience of Operations/Manufacturing activities.
  • Good knowledge and experience of Energy industry.
  • Advanced S4 Hana planning systems and transaction skills preferred.
  • Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Desired APICS CPIM Certification.
  • Desired PMP Certification.
  • Experience of Subsea industry preferred.
  • Experience and / or certifications in Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Technical background a plus.
  • Utilizes systemic thinking to solve cross-functional system-level problems utilizing preventive measures.
