Join our dedicated engineering team as a GSE Technician, responsible for maintaining and repairing ground support vehicles and plant equipment to the highest standards for TCR. You will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Health & Safety, ISO, and company requirements — helping to keep our operations running smoothly and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on vehicles and plant equipment as instructed by the Workshop Supervisor.
- Perform inspections, brake tests, and smoke tests; report all defects to the Workshop Supervisor before starting repairs or booking parts.
- Diagnose faults and communicate required work and parts to the Workshop Supervisor prior to commencing repairs.
- Accurately complete job cards and inspection sheets, updating progress to the current point of repair, and submit them at the end of each shift.
- Record all non‑productive time on the appropriate job card for authorisation.
- Notify the Workshop Supervisor immediately of any additional work or parts required.
- Present job cards to the stores team to enable parts supply, and ensure all booked parts are correctly recorded.
- Report any VOR (Vehicle Off Road) parts requirements without delay.
- Label and store parts correctly (e.g. warranty items, exchange units) and ensure out‑of‑hours parts use is properly documented.
- Notify the Workshop Supervisor as soon as jobs are completed.
- Quarantine, label, and report defective tools or equipment immediately.
- Submit accurate manual timesheets at the end of each shift.

- Report unsafe or defective tools, equipment, PPE, or working practices immediately.
- Actively participate in promoting a safe working environment and suggest improvements where appropriate.

- Follow Safe Systems of Work in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001 management system frameworks.
- Ensure all documentation and services meet ISO9001 requirements.
- Correctly segregate and identify waste in accordance with ISO14001 obligations.
- Report all incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts as per Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures.
