HGV Technician – Bristol
The Opportunity
Join our expert engineering team as a HGV Technician, maintaining and repairing TCR and associated vehicles to the highest standards.
You will play a key role in keeping our ground support fleet operating safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines, ISO frameworks, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of vehicles and plant equipment.
- Perform inspections, brake and smoke tests, reporting all defects before commencing repairs.
- Diagnose faults and advise line manager of all required work and parts before starting jobs.
- Complete jobs and inspections accurately via SAP, ensuring all repair progress and non-productive time is recorded.
- Keep the team updated on any additional work, parts, or VOR items.
- Share jobs with stores for parts supply and ensure all parts are booked correctly.
- Label and store parts appropriately (e. g. warranty, exchange units).
- Quarantine, label, and report any defective tools or equipment immediately.
- Accurately complete daily timesheets and ensure all paperwork is concise and correct.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
