Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Technical Specialist– HIL RIG to be based at our head office in Leamington Spa.
Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.
Role Summary:
The Technical Specialist – HIL RIG will be responsible for Leading and delivering end-to-end Validation & Verification (V&V) with primary expertise in EV Charging Systems (On-Board Charger, DC-DC converters, BMCM) across automotive programs. They will also need to display a knowledge of Charging Systems, driving system validation, integration, and compliance with industry charging standards.
Key responsibilities:
·Design, develop, and commission Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems using dSPACE Scalexio and NI LabVIEW (PXI-based platforms).
·Define and implement V&V methodologies across HIL, MIL, SIL, and PIL environments, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety and automotive cybersecurity standards.
·Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams (15+ members) in model development, validation, and automation delivery.
·Develop model-based plant and control models using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow for simulation and validation.
·Gather and analyze system, functional, and diagnostics requirements (UDS, SecOC, HSM, communication protocols) to design robust test environments. xgikmsk
·Prepare and review test documentation including DVMs, DVPs, P-Diagrams, test plans, and test cases, ensuring traceability and coverage.
