An excellent opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a rapidly expanding Infrastructure company with a growing UK and International Client base. The company focuses primarily on the VMware and Nutanix space where virtualisation and hyperconverged infrastructure are key components in most solutions the company delivers.

Overview

Working as an infrastructure engineer, you will be liaising with clients and other stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions usually in the UK, but sometimes in other countries.

Responsibilities

As an infrastructure engineer primarily focusing on virtualisation and hyperconverged infrastructure, it is expected that you will have several years’ experience in virtualisation and storage. Your role will entail working on projects with multiple stakeholders and will be expected to manage these stakeholders at times. To do this effectively you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

If you are not already, you will be trained in Nutanix to NCP level to enable you to deploy Nutanix at customer sites.

You will be comfortable with:

  • Deploying and configuring VMware solutions to clients at various site locations including international.
  • Working with solution architects to understand customer requirements and producing various documents including designs.
  • Working with project managers effectively to ensure projects are running smoothly.

Personal Attributes

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage/resolve issues promptly
  • Happy to undertake international travel and work on projects in other countries

Experience and Skills - Essential

  • VMware VCP
  • Delivering VMware projects
  • Some networking experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years working in IT
  • Clean UK Driver’s License

Package

Hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm

Basic Salary £55,000 to £70,000
