The Role
- Inspecting high-precision components to customer drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
- Inspecting components against customer drawings and quality standards.
- Producing inspection reports to meet customer requirements.
- Using conventional measuring equipment, including micrometres, callipers and gauges.
- Programming and inspecting components using CMM and vision measurement equipment.
- Calibrating internal measuring equipment.
- Maintaining the company calibration log.
- Inspecting small batches and one-off components.
- Working to tight tolerances in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Supporting continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Working collaboratively as part of the quality and production teams.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience within a Quality Control Inspector role.
- Strong background in machining processes and inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
- Experience using conventional measuring equipment, including micrometres, callipers and gauges.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work using your own initiative.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Experience programming CMM equipment.
- Knowledge of vision measurement equipment.
- Experience across various machining disciplines.
