Role

We have several exciting opportunities available for Planning Consultants who are in a position to travel across the UK and have the flexibility to be away from home Monday to Friday. As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for preparing programmes at all stages of a project – from bid, to on‑site progress to retrospective forensic for use in disputes. You will advise on how to prepare contract compliant programmes, report progress on as‑built programmes, manage critical path and float activities and keep the records to have available in case a claim situation arises. This is a consultancy role and you must therefore be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a client facing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the delivery of professional assignments.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the contract requirements.
  • Maintain project records.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the client requirements.
  • Have knowledge of all project planning techniques.

Individual

  • Ideally hold a degree in a construction related field.
  • A sound understanding of current construction methodologies.
  • Knowledge of current project planning techniques.
  • Good knowledge of contract conditions and law within the construction industry.
  • Good working knowledge of a variety of planning software (e.g. P6, Powerproject).
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Presentable and articulate.
  • Excellent organiser with proven time management skills.
